COILOVER STRUTS

The IM2.5, a 2.5” extruded aluminium monotube coilover strut has been tuned for Ultimate Ride Comfort while leveraging class-leading materials and design elements to offer a robust and versatile on- and off-road suspension solution.

TUNING

Featuring a 57mm CNC billet aluminium piston, the IM2.5 shock absorber takes advantage of the maximised internal capacity for optimal fine-tuning. The large-diameter piston features low-speed bleed ports which ensure a smooth and plush ride both on urban and metro roads through to rock crawling high-country tracks.

The IM2.5 is tuned perfectly for those who truly value all-day comfort in their 4x4 suspension solution.

COOL OPERATOR

Designing an aluminium monotube shock absorber is beyond having a shock that delivers on the ‘cool factor’. Internal heat is a shock absorber’s kryptonite. Aluminium is proven to be up to 4x more efficient in managing heat than steel, which makes it the optimal material for heat dissipation in a shock absorber. Additionally, the monotube design optimised the cooling efficiency further by offering a greater surface area and respectively greater direct cooling to the internal hydraulic fluids.

TRAIL-READY TOUGHNESS

The IM2.5 is no city slicker. The monotube aluminium body is Type 2 hard anodised to ensure a robust finish to handle an off-road beating. Further the 3-4mm thick walls are cleverly mounted upside down to keep them further out of harm’s way, with a robust dirt shield is utilised on all rear shock absorbers to further help protect the 20mm hardened steel rod and renowned NOK seals of the IM2.5 monotube shock absorber.

IFP (INTERNAL FLOATING PISTON) DESIGN

The IM2.5 was designed with comfort and robustness in mind; and while the temptation was there for a remote reservoir, the inline design of a billet aluminium internal floating piston matched with high-pressure (200PSI) nitrogen gas offers an unmatched simplicity and robustness for off-road tourers.

RIDE HEIGHT & THE RIGHT HEIGHT

The IM2.5 coilover is a single package where the coil is matched to the shock absorber and comes fully assembled. With the use of Acme thread along the body of the strut, the spring can be perfectly adjusted to match the weight at the front of the vehicle while maintaining the optimal height.
